Matthew M. Paladini, CFP®

Prior to founding PFM in 2006, Matt began his financial planning career at two fee-only planning organizations. In August 1998 Matt joined the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP. He spent four+ years in the Personal Financial Counseling/Investment Advisory Services division part of the Firm’s tax department. At Ernst & Young, Matt provided personal financial advice to corporate executives and business owners. Areas of specialized focus at E&Y included investments, stock options, tax strategies, and estate planning.
In 2002, Matt joined Cain Watters & Associates where he focused on personal financial planning services for self-employed individuals, primarily dentists and other healthcare professionals. In addition to dental-specific personal financial planning services, business valuations and practice transitions, Matt provided specialty services to the firm?s retired clients, including investment management, distribution planning, tax, and estate transfer planning.
Matt received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of North Texas. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER.

Financial Advisor, Partner
Johnny joined Paladini Financial Management in March of 2008. His exceptional technical knowledge, commitment to independent fee-only planning and personal commitment to client service make Johnny an integral part the PFM service team.
Johnny began his career in 1998 at the Tax Consulting Group of the international CPA firm Deloitte & Touche in Dallas. There he provided tax consulting services on the individual, corporate and partnership level before moving onto the fee-only planning firm of Cain Watters & Associates in 2001. At Cain Watters Johnny provided financial planning services and practice transition consulting to self-employed individuals, primarily dental and healthcare professionals.
Johnny received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Taxation from Texas A&M University in 1996, and earned an internship with the international CPA firm of Ernst & Young in New York City. He is a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, as well as a Registered Investment Advisor with the state of Texas.
In addition to these qualifications, Johnny is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), which is the gold standard of accreditation for business valuation professionals. The CVA guidelines set the foundation for PFM’s dental practice valuations and transition strategies.
Johnny and his wife Shelly live in Dallas with their two young children, Lydia and James. They enjoy the outdoors, movies and watching their favorite teams lose!
Wendy L. Kelly, CFP®
Financial Advisor, Partner
Wendy Kelly joined the PFM service team in September 2006, at its beginning stages. She worked administratively at PFM while attending graduate school and learned every aspect of services provided by PFM. Now, in addition to serving clients as a financial advisor, Wendy specializes in the research and analysis of investment options and portfolio construction. She puts her background in quantitative methods to work in constructing diversified strategies and investment models that offer clients a targeted expected rate of return needed to reach financial independence, all at a level of risk that the client is willing and able to assume.
Wendy currently works with dental professionals in all stages of their careers but specializes in those who are going through practice acquisition or transition.
Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Midwestern State University and a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER.
Wendy has made Arlington her home along with her husband Kris and their children Liam & Lila.
Nathan Tarver, CPA
Nathan joined Paladini Financial Management in September of 2020. Prior to starting at PFM, he worked in Dallas with the international CPA firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. During his time in their assurance practice he performed financial statement audits for complex private equity funds and registered funds with multi-billion dollar assets under management.
Nathan now serves clients as a financial advisor and is able to utilize his deep understanding of financial statements to help dental practices, especially recently purchased and transitioning practices, improve their financial outlook and in turn the client’s financial independence. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he earned his Master’s degree in Accounting along with a Bachelor’s in Finance. Nathan is a CPA, has passed the CFP exam, and is a Registered Investment Advisor with the state of Texas.
Nathan and his wife Alena live in Richardson with their golden retriever Daisy Mae. When not in the office you can find them at the dog park or anywhere outdoors.
Crystal D. Clayton
Crystal joined the PFM service team in May of 2010 after moving to Texas from Missouri. She has a diverse background in legal, investigative and management services. She is responsible for the administrative support of PFM clients with her main focus on maintaining client’s investment accounts.
Crystal enjoys being with her large extended family. She is extremely proud of her college-bound daughter who is studying to be a nurse.
Paula joined our team in February 2015, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in professional office executive assistant positions and a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments. She has a strong ability to streamline processes, maximize efficiency, and is committed to providing impeccable client service.
When not at work, Paula enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in many outdoor activities.
Associate Financial Planner
Hannah joined the PFM team in November of 2018. She attended The University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and is currently working towards becoming a CFP professional. In the meantime, she continues in her role as a Financial Planning Associate where she works directly with the Advisors to thoroughly prepare for client meetings by completing tasks such as obtaining client data, creating retirement projections, and diving deep into practice financial statements.
Hannah is innovative, driven, and committed to becoming a reputable advisor in the financial and dental industries.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her son Leo, cooking up her favorite foods and going on walks in the evening.
